Photo Courtesy: Errol Gatumbato Video Courtesy: Joshua Bastillo The Northern Negros Natural Park (NNNP) is under Natural Park Category of Protected Areas and it is located on the northern part of Negros Island with an aggregate area of 70, 826.16 hectares and falls within the political jurisdiction of 11 local government units namely the municipalities of Murcia, Don Salvador Benedicto, E. B. Magalona, Toboso and Calatrava and cities of Talisay, Silay, Victorias, Cadiz, Sagay and San Carlos.The protected area forms part of the largest watershed of the Province being the main source of water for seventeen (17) municipalities and cities. Four major river systems originate from the NNNP which supports the household and agricultural needs of the northern part of Negros Occidental. These are the Malogo, Imbang, Himuga-an and Bago River.
